These hooks are for those of us who don't want to actually screw things to the wall or door. They stay put and, unlike the adhesive plastic hooks, there's no sticky pad left when you decide to remove them or (as in my case) when they fall off. I have bought several of these hooks over the past few months and the oldest are still in place safely supporting our cycle helmets.
