We always can use coat hangers in our house. When I saw these, I knew we had to have them. Let's take a closer look.
WHAT ARE THESE LIKE?
These are really nice satin nickel hooks. They are smooth, have a wide narrow hook which will hold a coat without pointing holes or leaving marks on them. The screws are adequate, but you might need longer ones depending on where you plan to put these. There is a wood panel with hooks we made and these will be for extra hooks in winter near our basement heater that coats and sweaters can dry out on.
HOW DO THESE PERFORM?
The problem is that they are a bit smaller than I expected. Instead of holding two coats on top of each other like I had hoped for, they really only hold one. That is why we modified their use to a drying rack near our downstairs heater. They do hold one coat nicely or possibly two hoodie sweatshirts if they are not too thick.
STRONG?
These hooks seem to be very sturdy and strong.
MEASUREMENTS
The back plate of the hook is 3 inches from hole to hole. The hook part of the hook is about 1 inch total for handing space. The hook bends back in toward the base so it keeps a coat loop on it pretty well.
THE BOTTOM LINE
If you have a need for smaller coat hooks, this works well for single coats, hoodies, and possibly toddler or children's clothing in a closet or room. They are attractive satin nickel and help increase space to hang things from as long as you don't plan to hang a lot on each hook.
MY RATING
FOUR STARS. I was hoping these would be a bit larger. As they are, they will still work out for us though.
